Every window and door we install in Tamiami passes through the hands of people who live here too. We’re the crew that shows up in uniform, with license numbers on the page and a measured survey in hand. What ties us together isn’t a handbook. I started Sightline in 2012 after watching a neighbor in Westchester get quoted one price for impact windows and invoiced for another. The measurement and the quote were different documents. That gap, where the customer has no leverage, is why I built this company around Haven Clause 1: the price is written before any work starts, and it doesn’t change. I still review every measured survey before it goes out. Not because I don’t trust my team, but because my name is on the wall. When I’m not on a job site in Tamiami or Doral, I’m usually at the supply house arguing about a delayed PGT order or testing the U-factor on a new ES Windows sample. I keep a photo record of every job we’ve completed since 2012. The count just crossed 18,000.

Marcus has been with us eight years, and he handles the openings that make other crews nervous. Custom geometric windows in Coral Gables, impact garage doors in Pinecrest that have to clear a lifted truck, second-story sliders in Tamiami where the old frame has settled an inch out of square. He’s certified in PGT and CGI installation methods, and he’s the one we send when a job requires a full frame-out instead of a retrofit. Off the clock, he restores vintage motorcycles in a garage near FIU. The patience it takes to true a 1970s wheel spindle is the same patience he applies to a sightline measurement. He doesn’t rush. Elena came to us from a commercial glazing crew in Hialeah, where she spent six years on high-rise curtain wall installation. That background shows in her flashing details. She knows how water moves around a rough opening in a Florida downpour, and she installs pan flashing and end dams like she’s still working thirty floors up where a mistake means a lawsuit. Her specialty is energy-efficient retrofits in older Tamiami homes, the ones built in the 1960s and 70s with original aluminum single-pane windows. She carries a blower door kit in her truck and can show you exactly where your conditioned air is escaping. She has a degree in architectural technology from Miami Dade College, which she mentions never. He’s been with us five years, and before that he dispatched for a fire restoration company, so he doesn’t panic and he doesn’t make promises he can’t keep. He schedules the measured survey, confirms the product specs against the opening requirements, and makes sure the crew has the right CWS or ECO Window Systems order on the truck before they leave the warehouse. He lives in Tamiami, near the intersection of Flagler and 107th, and he knows which neighborhoods flood first and which ones lose power in a Cat 2. That local knowledge means he doesn’t send a crew to measure a door when the homeowner is still boarding up. He’s also the one who follows up after every job to deliver the photo record and confirm the 365-Day Done Right Promise is registered.
Javi M., Apprentice Installer
Javi joined us fourteen months ago after leaving a general carpentry crew where he was installing trim and never learning why the windows behind it leaked. He’s now certified in Therma-Tru door installation and working toward his impact-rated certification with Mr-Glass. Marcus T. oversees his training, and the running joke is that Javi has removed more windows than he’s installed because Marcus makes him pull his own work until the flashing is perfect. Javi grew up in West Kendall and still lives with his parents while he saves for his contractor’s license. He asks better questions than some veterans. Last month he caught a spec error on a ViewLux order that would have left a Tamiami customer with a fixed picture window where an egress opening was required. He didn’t assume. He checked the code.
